14:13 – King Of The Lake

Following a second wind op, KING OF THE LAKE appeared better than ever when routing the opposition by upwards of 26 lengths at Wincanton earlier this month and, despite an 11 lb rise, Jeremy Scott’s gelding may be able to follow up that victory if in the same sort of form. Bobby Socks has performed creditably in both starts since a long absence and he remains of interest, while top weight Star of Affinity is much respected in his bid to complete a hat-trick.

5/4
King Of The Lake Win or Each Way

14:48 – Give It To Me Oj

This looks a good opportunity for GIVE IT TO ME OJ to strike at the third time of asking over hurdles for Gary & Josh Moore. He was a fairly useful maiden on the Flat and has run to a similar level when placed in both his juvenile hurdles, latterly finishing second to Gibbs Island in the Victor Ludorum at Haydock. That form sets the clear standard here, with Ocean Conquest, who ran his best race when second at Warwick last time, the one likely to follow him home.

Give It To Me Oj Win or Each Way

15:23 – Bashers Reflection

Just the four runners for this novices’ handicap chase. BASHERS REFLECTION’s latest Wetherby second behind Real Stone when pulling clear of the rest, looks a solid piece of form and he’s taken to make it fifth time lucky over fences for Ben Case. The Good Doctor will be a threat if able to bounce straight back from a poor run at Hereford as he’d been second on his two previous starts over fences, including when beaten a short head here in December.

7/4
Bashers Reflection Win or Each Way

15:58 – Pierrot Jaguen

A fascinating clash between highly promising novices PIERROT JAGUEN and Horaces Pearl. The latter proved one of the best bumper performers around last term and his hurdles debut success was brimming with promise. However, preference is for Olly Murphy’s Pierrot Jaguen who looked good when winning with any amount to spare at Lingfield last time and has further progress to make over hurdles. Lud’or landed the odds at Wetherby last time and can also make his presence felt.

7/4
Pierrot Jaguen Win or Each Way

16:33 – The Famous Five

THE FAMOUS FIVE remains just 2 lb higher than when successful over course and distance over Christmas and Venetia Williams’ gelding is taken to resume winning ways on the back of a creditable second at Chepstow. Duhallow Tommy has resumed with a couple of solid efforts in defeat this season and looks sure to be in the thick of things once again, while Rath Gaul Hill will be a player if fully tuned-up and top weight Mount Tempest is also feared despite a decidedly sluggish display at Sandown recently.

5/2
The Famous Five Win or Each Way

17:05 – Magical King

Stuart Edmunds’ consistent MAGICAL KING should relish this test of stamina, having finished second to Santos King over course and distance in similar conditions earlier this month. He appeals most ahead of Wonderful Eagle who has been placed in some good Cheltenham handicaps this season, while novice Gamesters Guy could be open to more improvement stepping up in trip on his handicap debut after being highly tried at Cheltenham last time.

7/2
Magical King Win or Each Way
