*Paddy Power is now Non Runner Money Back for the 2025 Cheltenham Festival. That means that if your selection does not line up in the race you back it in for any reason – you will now get your stake back. TC’s apply.
*Paddy also has the more traditional ante-post market where you will lose your stake if your selection doesn’t run in the race for whatever reason.
Paddy Power Media’s ‘From The Horse’s Mouth’ podcast ‘Cheltenham Countdown’ is back as host Tom Nugent picks the brains of well-known journalist and broadcaster Rory Delargy, and jockey and son of the festival’s most successful trainer Willie Mullins, Patrick Mullins for their Cheltenham betting tips.
In the sixth episode of this year’s series, the gang looked at the Hunters Chase ahead of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.

RORY DELARGY
Ryehill ran okay last year behind Its On The Line at Punchestown and he might end up being the one to be with next year. His jumping needs to improve and experience counts for a lot in the Hunters Chase.
Ryehill was beaten by Angels Dawn in December off level weights in a point-to-point and she’ll be getting 7lbs off him at Cheltenham. She’s blindingly obvious and she has the form to win. She is effectively dropping in class for the Hunters Chase.
She won the Kim Muir a couple of years ago and she then placed in the Thyestes off a mark of 138. She then went to Cheltenham and fell two out when up with eventual winner Inothewayurthinkin. She would have been at least second or third that day and maybe put a challenge up, if she didn’t fall.
Angels Dawn is a sound jumper and conditions were filthy that day. She’s a 140 mare.
Ticks all the boxes
She’s 10-years-old which could sometimes be an issue, however, 10 and 11 year old’s have a very good record in the Hunters Chase. She’s also been looked after.
Angels Dawn has had the ideal preparation for this and she’ll be nice and fresh. She’s got the form, she’s got course form too. She ticks all the boxes and I’d give her a very strong chance.
