14:35 – Little Dipper

Mel Rowley’s son of Telescope LITTLE DIPPER shaped well in third on his hurdles debut at Southwell earlier this month, showing plenty to work on, and he’s fancied to build on that and get off the mark at the chief expense of form pick Walkadina, who resumes on the back of wind surgery after a below-par effort at Wincanton last time. Spectre One, Doctor Love and King of Records appeal as the pick of the rest in the battle for minor honours.

5/1
Little Dipper Win or Each Way

15:10 – Whynotnowroy

WHYNOTNOWROY was a fair winner over hurdles and matched that form straight away, as he was sent chasing when fourth at Taunton last month. He is far less exposed as a chaser than his opposition, and Neil Mulholland’s seven-year-old is fancied to go a few places better at the expense of Felton Bellevue, who sliced through the mud to score at Lingfield last week and has an amateur offsetting of a 7lb penalty. Faitque de l’Isle and Puddlesinthepark were both last-time-out winners and can fight for third.

Whynotnowroy Win or Each Way

15:45 – Gaye Legacy

Having finished an eye-catching fourth in a strong mares’ event at the beginning of February, GAYE LEGACY may be able to make the most of the drop in class. She shaped encouragingly that day, from 3lb out of the handicap, and that run should have knocked the freshness out of her, she will be a big player back off her correct mark. Despite being bred for the Flat, hat-trick seeking Komedy Kicks is progressing over hurdles, particularly since joining the Skelton operation, and looks worth a crack at this longer trip.

5/2
Gaye Legacy Win or Each Way

16:20 – Sacre Coeur

SACRE COEUR proved better than ever when making all in good style at this course last week, recording a second win in three starts over fences at this track, and a penalty might not be enough to prevent her from following up. The biggest threat could come from Heard That, who remains unexposed at staying trips, ahead of Hystery Bere.

11/4
Sacre Coeur Win or Each Way

16:53 – Tom Taggle

This is a competitive race, but the market strength behind TOM TAGGLE at Taunton last time suggests connections think he’s on a good mark, and might be worth another chance to prove it with the longer trip expected to play to his strengths. Last month’s Doncaster one-two Brockarno and Charming Getaway head the dangers along with Hellfire Princess, while Passing Pleasure is a possible improver now handicapping and should be monitored in the market.

5/2
Tom Taggle Win or Each Way

17:23 – Wise Guy

In an open handicap, the suggestion is WISE GUY, who looks potentially well treated if a recent breathing operation has a positive effect, particularly when the up-and-coming Callum Pritchard’s 3lb claim is taken into account. Zucayan, a dual C&D winner, the reliable Port Or Starboard and James Owen’s Snapius may provide the main opposition.

5/1
Wise Guy Win or Each Way
