14:25 Ayr – Senor Lombardy (The Guardian)
There are plenty with a chance here, but the vote goes to SENOR LOMBARDY, who ran well when second at Wetherby back in October. Ballydisco and the unexposed So Many Roads are two others to consider.
16:35 Ayr – Gege Ville (Telegraph)
The very lightly raced 9yo GEGE VILLE defied a long absence to win on heavy ground at Haydock in December and can continue to make up for lost time and make it 2-2 in handicaps. Park Annonciade did well to finish a close third over C&D last month after a mistake three out and he is feared most ahead of recent commanding C&D winner The Jeweller’s Pet.
16:43 Punchestown – Butchers Bill (Spotlight)
An opening mark of 100 gives BUTCHERS BILL a realistic chance of making a winning start in handicap company. Likely dangers are One And Only who was in good form at Cork in December, and True Destiny, also in fine shape before a break. Mighty Soldier is another possibility.
18:30 Wolverhampton – Marvellous Lady (Daily Record)
This looks close, but it might be worth siding with MARVELLOUS LADY, who had an excuse when upped to 1m6f last week, and that was after a brave win in a classified event over C&D. She’s a big player if she can recapture that form and is still unexposed on AW. Marinakis is the main danger, although Stand Free returned to form with a front-running third at Newcastle last month and has claims if she can back that up. Another who could get involved is Rivas Rob Roy.
