Bumper winner Marlacoo is the one to beat here, but he is going to be pretty short and it could pay to side with ORKNEY BLUE, who looks to have a solid each-way chance.
15:25 – Doyen Du Bar
This can go to DOYEN DU BAR who has already made all to win two small-field events over fences and is likely to get his own way in front again. Dance Thief, who won in good style here last time, may prove his main danger.
16:00 – Bowensonfire
Having scored in fine style at Limerick last time BOWENSONFIRE is likely to prove hard to beat. Serious Challenge, who was pretty smart at his best on the Flat, looks his main danger.
16:35 – Gege Ville (NAP)
The very lightly raced 9yo GEGE VILLE (NAP) defied a long absence to win on heavy ground at Haydock in December and can continue to make up for lost time and make it 2-2 in handicaps. Park Annonciade did well to finish a close third over C&D last month after a mistake three out and is feared most ahead of recent commanding C&D winner The Jeweller’s Pet.
17:10 – Triple Crown Ted
The Lucinda Russell-trained TRIPLE CROWN TED was a well-backed runner-up over C&D on last month’s debut and is taken to go one better. Fergal O’Brien does well in bumpers, however, and €70,000 newcomer Keep Tabs On You could pose a big danger. The mare Oh Janey is one to watch in the betting for Stuart Crawford.
