The eye is drawn to the smart Flat stayer Miss Cynthia in her first handicap hurdle, but she has proved hard to win with, so a chance is taken on GILBERTINA winning this race for the second successive year.
Last year’s third Lavida Adiva is another to consider.
15:35 Taunton – Exmoor Forest (RP Ratings)
Solid cases can be made for last-time-out winners Safe Destination and Camulus (preferred in that order), but EXMOOR FOREST has posted two good efforts off today’s mark this winter and might be the answer.
15:52 Market Rasen – Realta Liath (Sportinglife.com)
The recent Uttoxeter winner Burrows Hall and the improving Geordie Night have obvious claims, while last month’s C&D winner Belvedere Blast can’t be ruled out either.
However, it could pay to take a slight chance on the low-mileage mare REALTA LIATH, who is bred to appreciate this extra yardage on her handicap debut.
18:00 Wolverhampton – Marvellous Lady (Daily Express)
A few with chances, but the ex-Irish MARVELLOUS LADY was quick to get off the mark for James Owen here last week and can now defy a 5lb penalty with this much longer trip also likely to be to her benefit.
Stablemate Addosh could emerge as the main danger after a solid stint hurdling, although in-form duo Balgowan and Black Smoke can also have a say.
