Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:38 Fakenham – Caldwell (The Times)

CALDWELL won readily on chasing debut at Hexham (1m7f, soft) in October and was very respectable fifth of 14 when back over hurdles at Ayr (2m3f, good to soft) later that month; major player if still in same form after 108-day break.

16:05 Dundalk – Sporting Hero (The Irish Sun)

Dylan O’Connor’s 10lb claim could help to swing this for SPORTING HERO, who likes this surface and has been consistent in recent months. My Girl Sioux has a leading chance following a recent second that gives her a slight edge over Babyface. Drean Today is another to consider.

16:50 Kelso – Miss Friday Lions (Daily Mirror)

Flat-bred 4yo filly, MISS FRIDAY LIONS, showed ability with her fourth-place finish in AW contest at Newcastle; receives all the allowances and could go well.

17:30 Newcastle – Kilo Sunshine (Daily Mail)

Manton Road could benefit from the return to 7f, and he’s not ruled out despite his lukewarm response to pressure at Kempton on Wednesday night.

Mrbluesky, C&D winner Bantz, and Rogue Endeavour have something to recommend them, but KILO SUNSHINE could be worth chancing now switched to low-grade handicaps. While he’s not threatened in three novice/maiden runs, there was distinct promise at Ripon last summer when palpably green in a race featuring some useful 2yos. He’s bred to appreciate the longer trip, and Paul Mulrennan is a notable booking.
