16:05 – Sporting Hero

Sporting Hero is of interest as he’s down in grade. Dylan O’Connor rides for Denis Hogan and he’s claiming 10lbs so he sets a very good standard. He’s a course winner with a lot of experience at the track and he can build on his third-placed finish last week.

16:35 – Hightimeyouwon

Hightimeyouwon is well entitled to be a short price for Stephen Thorne. All of his wins at Dundalk have come over 7f but he’s going up to a mile here. He’s finished second and fourth when running over a mile at this track but Jack Kearney is taking off 5lbs. It looks like a golden opportunity for Hightimeyouwon to get the job done.

17:10 – Waterford Flow

Waterford Flow has decent form and he shaped well last time out when third at Dundalk last month. He shaped like a non-stayer over 1m 2f last time and he’s dropping back to a mile on Friday which should suit him very well. He travelled well when tracking the leaders and hopefully he’ll come on from the experience. Both of Waterford Flow’s siblings have won over similar trips so I’ll go with him. Tiberius Thunder will likely be the main danger.

17:45 – Mullacash Buzz (each-way)

Senado Square could go well but I’m siding with Mullacash Buzz, who is returning to action after a decent fourth over course and distance in December. His previous runs at the track have all been solid and Jack Cleary is back on board while claiming 5lbs. He’s in stall 16 which isn’t ideal but if he’s on form, the draw is irrelevant. He’s a good each-way pick.

18:15 – Brigadier Kakuru (NAP)

Just the 5 runners declared where Brigadier Kakuru sets a good standard and seems to be getting better with racing. Provided he doesn’t get into a tactical battle, he can go close. Lyle the Crocodile has a 10lb penalty to overcome from his win last time but can give the selection most to do.

18:45 – Friary Road

A 1m 4f maiden with nine runners declared and Friary Road reverts to the Flat after performing well in the jumps sphere. He’s switched stables to Ted Walsh and goes well fresh and looks the one to beat. Toto Too’s recent form doesn’t inspire while Colin Keane is booked for Disco Boy but his best chance may come in handicaps.

19:15 – Trishuli River

A 10f handicap ends the card and Limestone Red could be well handicapped but hasn’t run for a while. Vierson was a well-backed winner last time when showing a good attitude and seems to be suited to the all-weather. I’m not sure the 1m 2f will suit though. Trishuli River was a dual course and distance winner here in November and was just denied a hat-trick by a winner who subsequently scored again.
