Jonbon is the headline act on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival as the nine-time Grade 1 winner bids to bag that elusive success at the mega meet in the Queen Mother Champion Chase (16:00). He faces seven rivals including dual Champion Chase hero Energumene and 2023 Supreme scorer Marine Nationale.

A red-hot renewal of the Turners Novices’ Hurdle (13:20) kicks off the card as the likes of Final Demand, Potters Charm, The New Lion and The Yellow Clay face off. The Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase also looks a cracker as Ballyburn bids to make it two from two at the Festival but faces competition from Better Days Ahead, Dancing City and last year’s Albert Bartlett winner Stellar Story. The final Grade 1, the Weatherbys Champion Bumper, completes the card.

There is also Jumps action at Huntingdon before the evening all-weather meetings at Newcastle and Wolverhampton round off proceedings.
