16:30 – Zivaniya
Despite just six runners, a few of these like to go from the front, such as C&D winner Dream Adozen and the rejuvenated Midnight Lion, so something has to give.
The choice is ZIVANIYA, who made all over C&D last summer, but he has won when not making the running and is now 2lb lower than for that success.
The unexposed Scotland The Brave is worth a second look on handicap debut, having given the impression this longer trip may suit.
17:00 – Spartan Fighter
Despite carrying a penalty for his narrow win over C&D on Saturday, Time Patrol can’t be dismissed, as at least he comes into this in form. However, the selection is SPARTAN FIGHTER, who has dropped 4lb lower than for the latest of his six C&D successes. He contests a 0-55 for the first time on the AW.
17:30 – Tasever (NAP)
The Ruth Carr-trained pair Streak Lightning and Bobby Joe Leg can play a part if things pan out their way, while dual C&D winner Mereside Madness is proven fresh, so could go well back from three months off.
However, TASEVER (nap) has been in fine form here since October and this confirmed front-runner may enjoy the run of the race.
18:00 – One More Dream
Biplane is the only field member without a win over C&D, but she has run well under these conditions the last two times and remains on her last winning mark.
She is second choice to ONE MORE DREAM, who has become attractively handicapped and ran better than his finishing position would suggest here last time.
18:30 – One Horse Town
Just the five runners, but none can be dismissed easily. Crack On Boys and Sovereign Class both made promising debuts, while Orangesandlemons and War And Love have each shown enough ability to put them right in the mix.
The vote goes to ONE HORSE TOWN, who was only beaten by a head on stable debut last month and may find a bit more improvement for the extra furlong and stiffer track.
19:00 – Paddy’s Day
The big question with the bang-in-form William Dewhirst is how he copes with dropping to 5f for the first time.
He would be a big player if handling it, but PADDY’S DAY may be a safer option having won twice over C&D, the latest when making all ten days ago.
Dark Kestrel and the returning Leodis Dream are others for the shortlist.
19:30 – Monsieur Fantaisie
Concert Boy and Jems Bond have been running well lately, but their overall records don’t inspire much confidence.
Elettaria just got the better of MONSIEUR FANTAISIE over C&D ten days ago. However, the runner-up has a sporting chance of reversing the form on 1lb better terms, especially if settling better this time.
