13:00 Coko Beach
Last year’s winner COKO BEACH will find this easier than the races he’s been contesting recently and he gets the nod on ground he should relish. The underfoot conditions are a worry for Stealthy Tom and Chemical Energy. Three By Two goes well here and he could prove to be the main danger.
13:30 Western Zara
Music Of Tara won nicely over hurdles last time, and this trip should suit, but all her best form is on left-handed tracks. Splashing Out has a chance if she stays but that is no guarantee. Marginal preference is for WESTERN ZARA, who comes here after a pipe-opener over hurdles at Navan. She will stay, she has run well here before, and she handles heavy ground. Theonewedreamof could prove to be the main danger.
14:00 Dont Tell Jack (NAP)
A race that lacks depth. Ethical Diamond should win on ratings, but the testing ground has to be a huge worry for him. Mark Walsh prefers DONT TELL JACK (NAP) over Kainsbourg, and he gets the vote. This isn’t as tough as the first two maidens he contested,d and he can get off the mark in these calmer waters. Cardcounter is worth a market check if he gets a run.
14:30 Drusilla
Lehaunstown shaped well in a handicap hurdle here last time and should go well, as should Miss Mini Bee. Johnny Blue needs to bounce back from a poor run at Leopardstown, and testing ground may not be ideal for Hills Of Glory, so a chance is taken on the filly DRUSILLA, who ran well at huge odds in a maiden hurdle at Naas on her last start. She gets a nice chunk of weight from all her rivals and that could be important on this ground.
15:05 Duffys Hodey
Having hit a rich vein of form lately, DUFFYS HODEY could defy a 9lb rise for his most recent Fairyhouse win. Fellow recent winners Jacob’s Ladder, Balko D’Ange, and Birmingham Alabama are his biggest dangers.
15:40 Argento Boy
If ARGENTO BOY can put behind a dismal display at Leopardstown last time then he should be up to winning, with his earlier run at this track boosted since. Minella Post could take advantage if the selection fails to run to his best. Prophet’s Corner should appreciate this longer trip.
16:10 No Fussing
Slotty Dotty won well here last time and has to be respected up in trip even off 10lb higher. However, NO FUSSING was just denied in this race last year and could improve enough from her comeback run to go one better now. Slim Marvel, Gers Gigi and Whatsupnellie can run well.
16:40 Zoffanien
Dual-purpose winner, ZOFFANIEN, ran well on the Flat when last seen and should be competitive.
