16:13 – Fly To Glory
Fly To Glory has been on a roll for connections and he’s on a hat-trick. He won over course and distance a couple of runs ago and I’m slightly surprised to see him in here. He sets the standard in dropping into claiming company. Man Is King is the potential concern for Fly To Glory.
16:45 – Merchants Arch
Senior Montecristo impressed last time out when finishing second over a mile but I’m on Merchants Arch for Ross O’Sullivan. The stable are in great form and he showed better than the result suggested last time out at Dundalk. Dropping to 7f and dropping back in class will bring out improvement.
17:15 – Touted Plan
Watch the market for Snapaurum for Declan McDonogh and Joseph Patrick O’Brien as if he’s strong it could be a big sign. I like Joseph Murphy’s Touted Plan, who has turf form. She shaped like a future winner at Cork in September and she’s bred to handle the all-weather track. She’s worth keeping on side and that Cork form has held up. If she can run anything like her debut outing, she’ll go close.
17:45 – Quatrain
This is a very weak race and the most likely winner is Quatrain. All over her runs over a mile are very good. It’s a golden opportunity for her to get off the mark. If she turns up with her A-game, she should win.
18:15 – Zipster
This is a very competitive race. Tribal Moon won last time out ahead of the reopposing Morning Approach and I fancy him to uphold the form. I like the look of Zipster, who looks really interesting. He was very progressive in the latter half of last season and he couldn’t find daylight last time out when finishing fourth at Southwell. He would have been second at least if he’d got a clear run. He’s an expensive purchase who’s an unexposed ex-UK handicapper taking on known Irish quantities.
18:45 – Mo Ghille Mar (NAP)
Mo Ghille Mar is likely to go off favourite as the polytrack will suit her after impressing on the turf. She’s featured in a Grade 2 contest at Leopardstown and a conditions event at Fairyhouse in her last couple of runs and she’s open to more improvement. Her rating of 90 is more than workable and she’s got outstanding claims.
19:15 – Chopsticks
Chopsticks is my last selection on Friday night. He’s dropping down in trip and he’s only finished outside the top four once in his last six starts. He can go well.
