16:30 – Partisan Hero
Ex-Irish PARTISAN HERO has shown consistent form for his new stable and, with Rossa Ryan up for the first time, may regain the winning thread.
Yeoman (second choice) and Lia Rose are other solid contenders, while lightly raced Lord Normandy is fairly interesting and a couple of the others also have possibilities.
17:00 – Treasure Fleet
Aqab and Thermal Energy are newcomers of note, while Pivotal Affair and Island Hero (second choice) are open to improvement. So, too, is TREASURE FLEET, though, and there was a lot to like about how he quickened off a slow pace here on debut. He can make light of his penalty.
17:30 – Dash Power
Lawrence Mullaney’s most recent runner was a winner under Billy Loughnane, who gets on board DASH POWER for the first time and could well steer the in-form maiden to a first success. Twistaline, who warrants respect back at this level, is second choice ahead of Scarfo and Storm Asset.
18:00 – Marvellous Lady
Melsmay still has time to improve, but this may be a choice between Cherry King and MARVELLOUS LADY. The former has been threatening and has obvious claims, but the selection showed promise on occasions in Ireland and looks just the type her new trainer will find the key to.
18:30 – Fast Society
Invincible Aura and recent C&D scorer Destructive are high on the list, but FAST SOCIETY still has untapped potential, and he can take a good step forward from last month’s reappearance.
His stable is in much better form now and that was just his second run in 15 months. The ex-Irish Narmar needs a market check on his stable debut.
19:00 – Lovesick
Thurso can do better now handicapping, while This Farh has the assistance of Rossa Ryan for his handicap debut and looks solid enough at the head of the weights. LOVESICK‘s best run came over a mile last time, but her earlier C&D win showed she could cope with this trip, and she’s tentatively selected.
19:30 – Blue Seeker
Packetofbiscuits, Panama Black, Blue Empress, McKenna and Lightning Force (second choice) all have something to recommend, but BLUE SEEKER can make light of the handicapper’s 8lb hike. The selection showed a smart gear change to win a C&D nursery last month and could still be well ahead of his mark.
20:00 – Galel
This looks competitive for the grade, with several in-form runners lining up. Alafdhal, State Of Madness, Rogue Thunder and Red Walls are all considered, but GALEL looked well up to winning a similar race when second over 7f here in November, and she gets the nod.
20:30 – Init Together (NAP)
A few of these need a complete revival, and INIT TOGETHER (nap), unbeaten in two runs for Tony Carroll, looks like a solid option in his hat-trick bid. Stablemate Cryptos Dream won over C&D when last seen and can go well, but the main threat may come from yesterday’s course winner, I Can’t Believe.
