13:10 – Karbau
Willie Mullins looks to have the taking of this. KARBAU may have to settle a bit better than at Naas but the softer ground should suit and he gets the nod over stablemate Zillow who showed plenty of ability at Leopardstown. Park That and Paul Collins have place prospects, while newcomer Adaliz is worth a market watch.
13:40 – Lakota Blue
Plenty with chances, notably Total Look, Slurricane and Out For A Stroll but C&D maiden hurdle form gives LAKOTA BLUE a big chance of confirming form with the latter two now receiving weight from the pair. The fitting of blinkers could also aid the selection.
14:10 – Maughreen
Though she has only run once, MAUGHREEN created such a favourable impression in that course bumper win a year ago that she is difficult to oppose even after missing plenty of time since. Grade 3 course bumper winner Familiar Dreams is her obvious danger, while the rest have plenty to find.
14:40 – Port Joulain
The return to a track at which he has notched two bumper wins is a help to Sermandzarak but he has to put a poor run behind him so the selection is PORT JOULAIN. He himself bounced back from two poor efforts with a solid third at Leopardstown last time and he holds Bossofthebrownies on that form.
15:10 – Mywayofthinkin
Found to be lame after being pulled-up last time, MYWAYOFTHINKIN is the pick of Mark Walsh over the other J.P. McManus runner Goraibhmaithagat, and he can take that rival’s measure.
15:40 – Silas Marner
Having run a solid race on handicap debut at Fairyhouse last time over a similar trip, SILAS MARNER could improve enough to take this. Mighty Soldier ran well enough on handicap debut over 2m here last time and could improve up in trip. Bridie’s Beau and Driveonwill are likely capable of better than they have shown so far. Klassman was unlucky to unseat here last time and should run well.
16:10 – Comeonarchie (NAP)
Not too many appeal here. Perhaps COMEONARCHIE (nap) can go one better than on his two recent visits here, having come up against a well-handicapped rival last time on similar ground. Dangers include He Fitz In, and Master Of The Sums, a likely improver now upped in trip for handicap debut.
