17:00 – Blast The Dream
The pick of the runners with experience is Lingfield runner-up BLAST THE DREAM. Interesting newcomer Florida Dawn is feared most, particularly if strong in the betting. A couple of the others are open to improvement.
17:30 – Spirit Of Jura
Most of the runners are still open to further improvement. The percentage call goes to SPIRIT OF JURA, who receives weight all round and should relish the new trip judged on breeding. Edge Ofthe Unknown, another handicap newcomer, is a narrow second choice.
Manara and Magna Gee Gee both bring a 100% record at handicap level and add interest to this tight-looking affair. Hippocratic Oath is unbeaten on Tapeta but has a stamina doubt.
18:00 – Ash Wednesday
Provided he takes to Southwell, ASH WEDNESDAY should be capable of adding to his Wolverhampton wins. Laura’s Breeze, King Of York and Flash The Dash look best of the remainder, in that order of preference.
18:30 – Portoro (NAP)
Solid recent winner PORTORO (nap) holds the strongest chance, especially as all of his rivals are still maidens and/or risky types. Valadero, who brings some positives, is feared most ahead of Angel Of The Bay, who could rebound.
19:00 – Bowood
The return to Southwell looks a plus for BOWOOD (narrowly preferred) and Lerwick, who head the shortlist. Hitched holds a solid chance, while Grabajabba is interesting. Some of the others are attractively handicapped.
19:30 – Master Of My Fate
Progressive MASTER OF MY FATE is upped further in class, but he’s ahead of the assessor and may well win again. Jumbeau, who conversely drops back in class, is feared most ahead of in-form Blind Beggar.
20:00 – Em Four
There could well be more to come from EM FOUR, who is taken to follow up his Chelmsford win. Kinetic Force, another interesting handicap debutant, is second choice ahead of Kiss Me My Love, who may show progress back down in trip. None of the others can be ruled out.
20:30 – Further Measure
Two Plus Two escapes a penalty for his recent Wolverhampton win, but that race went like clockwork for him, whereas this month’s Lingfield winner and fourth-placed FURTHER MEASURE was unsuited by being held up off steady fractions. Stamina doubts are the burning issue with the in-form Forge Valley Lad.
