With further progress likely, LEADER IN THE PARK (nap) looks capable of defying a 4lb rise for his Kempton success. Southoftheborder, Ramo and Johnny Jump Up are interesting seasonal/chase debutants, in that order of preference.

13:50 Ayr – Red Cadillac (Racing Post)

Santa Clarita was a very creditable second in a big-field 2m4f handicap here this month, but handicap debutants RED CADILLAC and Helsgetaway have significant potential, and may fight this out. Slight preference is for Nicky Richards’ runner.

14:52 Ayr – Nab Wood (Daily Mirror – NAP)

Low-mileage 8yo NAB WOOD (nap) looked progressive in the early part of last year and is taken to build on last month’s very encouraging reappearance outing. Park Annonciade will find this easier than his latest hurdling assignment and, from a good mark, is feared most. Rafferty’s Return has cheekpieces refitted today and it will be interesting to see if he reverts to his usual front-running tactic.

15:50 Warwick – Jeux d’Eau (East Anglian Daily Times)

A few of these have plenty of back-class, but also questions to answer on various counts. JEUX D’EAU could be the emerging force as the youngest member of the party and three weeks ago he made light work of former Cheltenham Festival winner Premier Magic. Bardenstown Lad edges second preference over Lord Du Mesnil, Lift Me Up and Eva’s Oskar.
