As regards the three runners who showed promise last week, EASILY CONVINCED is preferred ahead of Song Of Dubai and Dance Recital. Best of the remainder is Mullwarchar.
17:30 – Princess Pw
Ex-Irish One Horse Town is interesting, particularly if the betting suggests he’s likely to show immediate progress for his new stable. PRINCESS PW is favoured by the weights and looks worth another chance back down in distance, while Kev is the other main form contender.
18:00 – Star Pupil
Dropped back in grade with the blinkers retained, STAR PUPIL could well build on his latest effort and register a first handicap success. A few of the others are well treated on their best form and the suggested second choice is C&D winner Capuchinero. It remains to be seen whether Go Wild backs up her latest effort.
18:30 – Believe It
Although she has something to find on bare figures, BELIEVE IT is interesting with improvement plausible returned to 6f and switched to classified level. Jesse Luc (second choice) and War Zone are solid dangers, while a couple of the others also have possibilities at the weights.
19:00 – Target Man
With Cressida Wildes an exposed sort and Queenofdestruction disappointing the last twice, this race could well concern the two Boughey runners. It’s a tricky call but TARGET MAN may take advantage of the 7lb he receives from stablemate Megaphone, who commands respect all the same. The betting may offer further guidance, with the selection returning from a break.
19:30 – Merrimack
Nicely weighted MERRIMACK is taken to build on his December efforts and open his AW account. Solid Gogo Yubari is feared most, ahead of Angle Land. The betting may be helpful in regard to a couple of the others.
20:00 – Sonnerie Power
A chance is taken on SONNERIE POWER, who is on a long losing run but holds major claims off his current mark provided the tongue-tie/hood combination works a treat. Switchel (second choice) and Etretat are solid dangers, while Arcadian Nights is also in the mix.
20:30 – Union Island (NAP)
Judged on his record since upped to this trip, UNION ISLAND (nap) holds particularly good claims. The Spotlight Kid is feared most on recent form.
