12:30 Frankies Dream
FRANKIES DREAM showed improved form to get off the mark at Wolverhampton nine days ago, keeping on well despite taking a strong hold. The continued good form of Jennie Candlish is another factor in his favour and he looks capable of defying a 3lb rise in the weights. Sunny Time ran creditably when third at Chelmsford last month and could provide the main threat here.
13:00 Stage Winner
STAGE WINNER has shown something to work with as he was sixth in a good-quality novice at Wolverhampton on debut and ran at least as well when a close-up third back at the same venue last month. He remains open to some improvement after only a couple of starts and stands out as the one to beat in a weak contest. Kewmill offered some encouragement when fourth on debut at Chelmsford last month and can chase the selection home.
13:30 Tadreeb
TADREEB justified good support when successful over this course and distance on his first start for Rod Millman (previously with Michael Attwater) and he followed up with something to spare back at the same track and trip on Thursday.
Tadreeb has seemed sweetened up by the switch of stable and, off a mark effectively 3lb higher than last time, he looks up to completing a quickfire course-and-distance hat-trick. He’s seeking a fifth course-and-distance win in total.
14:00 Michaelas Boy
MICHAELAS BOY returned to form when runner-up at Chelmsford on his penultimate start, and he confirmed that promise when taking advantage of his reduced mark at Wolverhampton last month.
Michaela’s Boy had to dig deep to win there but did well to hold off a pair of more patiently ridden rivals in a strongly-run sprint. He’s only 1lb higher here, so he remains well-treated on some of his older forms, and he should give another good account.
14:30 Manton Road
MANTON ROAD was unable to reward strong support on his first start for Gay Kelleway (previously with Jack Jones) at Newcastle last month, but he shaped well in third, impressing with how he moved through that contest. Manton Road seemed to find a mile at Newcastle providing too stiff a test of stamina, so he should be suited by this sharper test and looks to have found a nice opportunity.
15:00 Perfect Parole
Most of these have something to prove but PERFECT PAROLE at least ran well when beaten less than a couple of lengths in fourth at Chelmsford last month. He wore cheekpieces and a tongue tie for the first time at Chelmsford and they have been retained here.
15:30 Fullforward
FULLFORWARD is still searching for a first win on the all-weather, but he has produced plenty of creditable performances on a synthetic surface and arrives here on the back of a couple of placed efforts, including over course and distance last time. Fullforward is on a competitive mark and looks likely to give another good account.
16:00 Bearaway
BEARAWAY snapped a losing run stretching back more than two years when making a successful stable debut for Simon Pearce (previously with Seb Spencer) over this course and distance last month. Bearaway picked up well to win a shade cosily, and a 4lb rise in the weights may not be enough to stop him following up as he remains with some handicapping scope based on his older form.
