Bits and pieces of chances can be given to a few of these, but two stand out. On Lovers Walk went very close at Down Royal and will get his turn. Preference is for the more experienced BRUCEJACK who is effective over this trip as well as extreme distances and has a good opportunity here.
12:55 Lecky Watson
Gordon Elliott is triply represented here, Down Memory Lane might just have the edge over confirmed stayer Search For Glory and Farren Glory. However it is hard to look past LECKY WATSON after his defeat of Slade Steel in a beginners at Naas. Going right-handed is a big plus too.
13:25 Toon Town
His run at Naas last time would make Papa Barns hard enough to beat, the consistent Mahlers Cove and the returning to form School Lane both make appeal. A chance is taken that TOON TOWN can prove good enough on his first start for Gavin Cromwell and in his first chase.
13:55 Prince Zaltar
Competitive contest. Top-weight Daily Present sets a fair standard on his performances in good-staying chases and should go close. Nine Graces is on the upgrade, while there may be more to come from Salmanino. A chance is taken that PRINCE ZALTAR might be fit enough after over a year off, off a chase mark 18lb lower than his hurdles mark.
14:25 Salvador Mundi
Willie Mullins has a very strong hand here and it is difficult enough to look past runaway Tipperary maiden hurdle winner SALVADOR MUNDI. His unbeaten stablemate Kel Histoire may find it hard to see off impressive Cork winner Sky Lord for the runner-up spot.
14:55 Brave Brigadier
BRAVE BRIGADIER ran a promising race in Punchestown maiden hurdle on debut to chase home impressive Willie Mullins winner, beaten 11l; raced quite keenly that day, so more to come.
15:25 Beggars Rock (NAP)
A very open handicap. Londonofficecallin is sure to be popular despite flopping at Navan in November. Recent course winner Sammy Smart may have more to offer despite the drop in trip, while Union Park has an obvious chance off this mark after a fine run over fences at Limerick.
Plenty of others have chances, but despite a 9lb rise for his win at Limerick, this can go to BEGGARS ROCK (NAP) who was transformed by blinkers that day and can follow up.
