Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase tips and runner-by-runner guide to Fairyhouse 1.45 on Saturday

Can Midnight It Is grab a third win in a row?

Midnight It Is jumping a fence at Fairyhouse

Midnight It Is will need to deliver a career-best effort to bring up a hat-trick in the Grade 3 Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding won over course-and-distance at the start of last year and scored on seasonal reappearance at Navan last month to climb to a career-high mark of 132.

The yard is also represented by The King Of Prs, who beat the reopposing American Mike to second place in the EasyFix Equine Handicap Chase over C&D last month, and the consistent figure of Path d’Oroux.

Hunter’s Yarn, who boasts C&D form courtesy of a maiden win over fences 12 months ago, heads the weights off a rating of 152 for Willie Mullins, with the stable also pitching Ha d’Or into the mix.

Henry de Bromhead fields Lets Go Champ after placing third over a longer trip in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham last time out.

Dan & Joan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase 2025 verdict

Timeform: MIDNIGHT IT IS scored on his final outing last season and hit the ground running on return when bolting up at Navan last month, so he’s worth a chance to complete the hat-trick for all that this is a tougher assignment. His stablemate The King of Prs is a threat along with Lets Go Champ.
