16:30 – Caramay

CARAMAY won twice at this course last year, including over this course and distance, and she confirmed she is still in good heart when beaten only by two less-exposed sorts at Southell 10 days ago, so she’s expected to launch another bold bid from the same mark.

Kingmont stands out as a danger and should be better for her comeback run. New headgear could see Ellexis and Disclosure in a better light.

17:00 – Northern Cracksman

NORTHERN CRACKSMAN remains a maiden following 13 appearances. But he has shaped well all three starts for his present yard, particularly on his latest outing at Southwell, where his finishing position only tells half the story (travelling at least as well as anything else in the race but saw no daylight inside the final two furlongs).

He is taken to open his account with the cheekpieces back on, with Ravenglass and Boujee Gold feared most in that order of preference. The in-form Forever Proud also has claims.

17:30 – Treasure Fleet

Those with experience don’t set an exacting standard in this novice event, so expensive breeze-up buy TREASURE FLEET won’t need to be anything special to see off his opposition. He’s already been gelded but represents a top yard and commands maximum respect.

Andrew Balding’s Chemical sets the standard, while Crackalackin should benefit from the step-up in trip and looks the best of the remainder.

18:00 – Bankrupt

The form of BANKRUPT‘s latest second in a course-and-distance handicap has been boosted since (the winner and third both won next time), and he may well go one better if he is in a similar mood.

Savalas was only ninth behind Autumn Angel here last time but was successful on his penultimate start and, armed with a handy pull at the weights, is taken to reverse those placings with Tony Carroll’s charge and emerge as the main danger.

18:30 – Red Walls

Although an outside stall isn’t ideal, RED WALLS knows where the winning post is at this course and is given a chance to build on his back-to-form second here last week.

Miss Moonshine should be edging back towards peak fitness after two comeback runs last month and has a bit of class for this grade on her form from early last year. Back Tomorrow ran well in a course-and-distance handicap last week and makes the shortlist.

19:00 – Lady Dreamer

In an open handicap, the vote goes to LADY DREAMER, who hit the target three times last year, and she did well to finish as close as she did, all things considered when third over course and distance on her latest start. She can prove herself on a good mark.

Monsieur Kodi put in another good shift when finding just one too good at Lingfield recently. He is the second choice ahead of Tiger Crusade, though cases can also be made for Just A Spark, Power Over Me, and Pure Angel.

19:30 – Alfheim

ALFHEIM has made an excellent start for George Boughey, opening her account over a mile and a half at this course and following up in good style over this course and distance last month.

She only beat the reopposing Dark Mystery by a neck, but she had a bit in hand, not doing much once hitting the front, and she can confirm that form now. Green Team is on a lengthy losing streak but ran a cracker last time and can also be involved.

20:00 – Heavenly Fire

HEAVENLY FIRE wasn’t seen to best effect despite finishing third over this course and distance recently, shaping best at the weights given she came from further back than the other principals and also met trouble, so she is fancied to capitalise on a handy-looking mark and gain her breakthrough victory.

Pessoa and Bungle Bay are multiple course and distance winners and rate major threats.

20:30 – Ash Wednesday

This doesn’t look so competitive, and ASH WEDNESDAY looks the way to go on the back of his very good recent runner-up effort over course and distance. He was strong in the betting after a couple of improved efforts and was unlucky not to win after meeting repeated trouble.

Silky Robin made a good start for his new yard when fourth at Chelmsford City recently and is feared most ahead of course-and-distance winner Kenstone.
