Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:55 Naas – The Yellow Clay

With three hurdle runs under his belt, THE YELLOW CLAY has a level of experience that could make all the difference, though he will need to be sharper than when scrambling home in a race in this grade at Navan. He was a convincing Grade 3 scorer on his second start and is given narrow preference over the Champion Bumper winner Jasmin De Vaux who was not especially fluent on his first attempt.

14:20 Chepstow – Captain Boudet

Jeffery’s Cross returned from a long absence with a good effort over 3m last month and could be a tough nut to crack if suited by today’s drop back in trip but it might be worth chancing chase debutant CAPTAIN BOUDET, who ran a game race when placed in a big-field handicap hurdle here two starts ago and still has low mileage. Thor De Cerisy is next on the list.

14:30 Naas – Icare Daubrelle

A course bumper winner in 2022, ICARE D’AUBRELLE may reward the patience of connections who have run him only twice in the interim. He showed up well at Cork on his return and can take the measure of Joystick, whose 2023 bumper win suggests he may need further than this over hurdles. Coral River and Trasna Na Pairce and W B Easy have shown ability in bumpers. Banter In The Bar and Big Mike are potentially interesting on point-to-point form.

14:55 Chepstow – Dangerous Touch

Several of these warrant consideration in a very competitive race for the grade. Top of the list is handicap debutant DANGEROUS TOUCH, who displayed significant improvement when fourth in a 2m novice in November and ought to be suited by today’s longer trip. Valens Bruyee returned to form with a big run in defeat when back over hurdles last month and is second choice. Casual Observer has been absent since last March but still makes significant appeal.
