Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

17:05 Southwell – Old Harrovian (Daily Telegraph)

Dual AW novice winner in spring 2023, OLD HARROWIAN struggled in his first three handicaps after an absence but much better signs back on AW after a short break when third of 14 over 1m3f at Kempton in November, finishing off well from too far back; the first two have franked the form since, and he’s a must for the shortlist.

17:20 Wolverhampton – The Last Time (Daily Express)

Gelded since last turf run and THE LAST TIME can do better now handicapping on the all-weather surface.

18:05 Southwell – Rogue De Vega (The North)

ROGUE DE VEGA gained his second win when overcoming a troubled start to justify support at Wolverhampton (5f) in November; respectable efforts since, third at Newcastle (5f) on New Year’s Day; not discounted, although his best form remains at the minimum trip (0-6 at 6f).

18:20 Wolverhampton – Saligo Bay (Steve Mulligan)

Fair dual-purpose performer with three wins over hurdles and two on turf, SALIGO BAY has run well over this far on grass, but this looks a tough ask on stable debut (same owners) after 75 days off.
