13:20 Leopardstown – Dee Capo (Irish Sun)
Plenty of nice prospects in here including Willie Mullins’ trio that features last term’s Martin Pipe third, Quai De Bourbon who is the first-string on chase debut. However, a chance is taken on DEE CAPO who was running a big race in a decent beginners’ chase at Navan last time before coming down late and he can put his chase experience to good use here. Anyway should appreciate the drop back down in class after competing in Grade 2 company last time and could be in the mix.
13:45 Newbury – Welsh Charger (RP Ratings)
A hot race thanks to WELSH CHARGER, Mr Bramley and Mr Hope Street who keep banging in the wins, Rightsotom who impressed at Doncaster last time and Go To War who catches the eye with his step up in trip. Tentative preference is for Welsh Charger over Rightsotom but all five are of major interest.
15:05 Leopardstown – Feet Of A Dancer (Racing Post)
Paul Nolan has three runners here, all of whom could be given a chance. FEET OF A DANCER has run creditably in mares’ races and gets a hopeful vote over stablemate Maxi Mac Gold. Gordon Elliott also has a strong hand, with Binge Worthy perhaps the pick of his runners. Win Some Lose Some and the ex-Nicky Henderson King Alexander are also noteworthy.
15:35 Newbury – Zertakt (The Guardian)
While there’s the lingering possibility that the lightly raced, Henderson-trained Shanagh Bob could emerge as something of a significantly higher class, it may currently be a better option to side with ZERTAKT whose recent reappearance suggested that Venetia Williams has turned him round and can get off the mark with him over this longer trip. Impressive Southwell winner Theformismighty is second on the list, with Menaggio and Rock My Way also considered.
