The Grade 2 Howden Noel Novices’ Chase (15:05) tops the bill at Ascot as Johnnywho faces three rivals including Mark Of Gold in his bid to return to winning ways over fences. Elsewhere on the card, Iberico Lord is the star of the show in the Class 3 Howden Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (13:55) and there is a Listed prize up for grabs in the King Edward VII Ascot Membership Open National Hunt Flat Race (15:40).

Ceallach is five from nine at Dundalk and attempts to reverse the form with San Andreas from a fortnight ago in the Horse Racing Returns To Dundalk Friday 10th January 2025Handicap (19:45).

There are also all-weather fixtures at Southwell and Wolverhampton as well as a National Hunt meeting at Uttoxeter.
