11:00 – Causin A Comotion

Causin A Commotion was heavily backed in a five-furlong handicap at Wolverhampton last month and he rewarded that support by showing improved form to register a narrow victory. Causin A Commotion was soon off the bridle but made progress on the inner over a furlong out and edged ahead close home. The style of that short-head success suggests that Causin A Commotion will benefit from stepping back up to six furlongs and he can defy a 2 lb nudge in the weights.

11:30 – Megaphone

Megaphone is a close relation to the smart Finest Sound and offered something to work with when sixth in a Newmarket novice that has worked out really well. Megaphone hasn’t been seen since that debut in May and has since been sold for 42,000 guineas, joining George Boughey from Roger Varian, but he remains with potential and looks worth siding with on his return to action. Desert Champion also showed ability when sixth on debut at Chelmsford last month and might provide the main threat.

12:00 – Don Pacifico

Don Pacifico shaped well when third on debut at Wolverhampton last month, staying on nicely in the straight in the style of one who will benefit from the experience. The runner-up has since won to give the form a boost and, with improvement expected, Don Pacifico looks the one to beat for the in-form Crisford yard. Reporter showed improved form when runner-up on his nursery debut at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and he looks the main danger back in novice company.

12:35 – Nevernay

Nevernay is still searching for a first win but has run well to finish in the frame on his last couple of starts in seven-furlong handicaps at Wolverhampton and should give another good account. One of his best efforts for his former yard came when third in a six-furlong handicap at Windsor so the drop in trip won’t be an issue and he shades the vote in a competitive affair. Kats Bob has been in good form of late and was only narrowly denied over course and distance last week so is another with solid claims.

15/2
Nevernay Win or Each Way

13:10 – Currumbin

Currumbin ran well on both starts for Hilal Kobeissi, finishing placed in mile-and-a-half handicaps at Wolverhampton and Lingfield and looking like he’s ready to take advantage of his reduced mark. Those were his first two starts since fitted with a hood and upped in trip to middle-distances, and he gives the impression he should see out this even longer distance. He is a first runner for Michael Keady, who used to train him in partnership with Mike Murphy.

15/8
Currumbin Win or Each Way

13:45 – Switchel

Switchel finally got off the mark when cosily landing a mile-and-a-quarter handicap at Chelmsford on her penultimate start and she ran at least as well when runner-up in a mile-and-a-half handicap at Lingfield last month. She is clearly in good heart and remains on a competitive mark so is taken to return to winning ways here. Charlie’s Choice is another who arrives in good form having been placed on his last three starts, so he’s a danger.

3/1
Switchel Win or Each Way

14:20 – Wilde And Dandy

Wilde And Dandy was disappointing on a couple of occasions on turf but has done well since returning to the all-weather, winning two of his three starts, including a seven-furlong handicap here nine days ago. That three-quarter-length success was a career-best effort from Wilde And Dandy and, with the step back up to a mile unlikely to prove a problem, he looks the one to beat under a 5 lb penalty.

4/1
Wilde And Dandy Win or Each Way

14:55 – Billyb

Billyb found only an unexposed and progressive rival too strong when runner-up over this course and distance on Saturday and he should go close off the same mark if in similar form. He gets the vote over Barnaby who completed a four-timer in seven-furlong handicaps at Newcastle when successful on his penultimate outing and then ran respectably when third back at that venue last time.

11/8
Billyb Win or Each Way

15:30 – Popular Dream

Popular Dream produced his best effort yet when readily landing a maiden over this course and distance six days ago and he looks well treated under a penalty back in handicap company. He can follow up at the chief expense of Rogue de Vega who ran respectably when fifth at Newcastle last time and holds solid claims on the form of his win at Wolverhampton last month.

10/11
Popular Dream Win or Each Way
