Six meetings are scheduled across the tracks in the UK and Ireland today – and our nifty NAPs Table is here to steer you on the day’s best bets.

It is the opening day of the December Meeting at Cheltenham and the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Coming Soon Handicap Chase (13:50) tops the bill as Chianti Classico bids to make it two from two for the campaign but will need to get the better of the hat-trick seeking King Turgeon. Elsewhere on the card, Caldwell Potter is the standout name in the SSS Super Alloys Novices’ Chase (12:40), Shakem Up’arry and Dashel Drasher are among the favourites in the Middle Distance Chase Series Veterans’ Handicap Chase (14:25) while Delta Work heads the weights for the Glenfarclas Crystal Cup Cross Country Handicap Chase (15:00).

Willie Mullins hands a stable debut to JP McManus recruit Kel Histoire, a Flat winner in France, in the Mallow Maiden Hurdle (12:00), bumper winner Kevin’s Pride bids to score over timber at the second time of asking in the Class 3 Maiden Hurdle (14:05) at Bangor and there is also Jumps action at Doncaster.

The twilight fixture at Southwell kicks off the day’s all-weather racing before the meeting at Dundalk rounds off proceedings.
