17:00 – William F Browne
Ger Lyons has the top-rated William F Browne and given his pedigree and overall form, I can see him winning. He won at Naas in September and he shaped better than the bare result suggested last time out. He’s making his polytrack debut and the surface should really suit him.
17:30 – Sacred Oath
I’ve been waiting for Sacred Oath to drop back in trip and she gets that here over the mile distance. A well-run mile around Dundalk should suit her perfectly. She finished second a couple of weeks ago in a maiden and she can win this. She’s got everything in her favour.
18:00 – Lunigiana
I started off going through this race thinking that I’d find something to take on Lunigiana as she’ll likely top the market. However, I’ve ended up sticking with her. She’s making her all-weather debut and she could be hard to beat. Going round a bend will suit her very well. Her Dam Dolce Strega won at this track and all-weather form usually carries through.
18:30 – Never Shout Never
Never Shout Never finished second in a handicap at the Curragh earlier this month and he’s running off the same mark on Friday night. He’s making his polytrack debut and he’s got more scope for improvement than a lot of these. He’s an unknown quantity and he could be a big player.
19:00 – Ascending (NAP)
Ascending has a great chance for Henry de Bromhead with Billy Lee on board. He’s making his polytrack debut after running into a few good ones last season. He stepped forward to finish second at the Curragh last time out and the form has held up. He’s unexposed and he should be at his peak after running twice already this season. He should be hard to beat. De Bromhead’s other runner Miss Paloma could also go well.
19:30 – Carrigans Grove
Pat Flynn has been in form this year and the yard has Carrigans Grove. She’s lightly raced and she ran a cracker when finishing fifth at Dundalk earlier this month. She finished well and the strong gallop should suit her perfectly. She’s off a mark of 49 which is more than workable. Her pedigree suggests she should improve on the surface.
20:00 – Buckhead Betty (each-way)
I backed Buckhead Betty on her last couple of runs. She switching to the polytrack after finishing fifth last time out at Gowran Park. She’s having her first run for Ross O’Sullivan after leaving Joseph O’Brien. It’s an open race and she can go very well as she’s race fit. She should be each-way odds too.
20:30 – Warazam
Warazam is the one to be with. Her run at Dundalk a couple of weeks ago was a cracker. She could have won if she was asked a little earlier. She likes the all-weather track and she’ll be competitive off a mark of 54.
