11:55 Kick Up A Storm
Kick Up A Storm took his record in handicaps to three wins from five starts when registering a seven-and-a-half-length success at Exeter 11 days ago. That decisive victory suggests there could be more to come from Kick Up A Storm and he looks up to defying a 7 lb penalty to complete a hat-trick. On Springs was a creditable second on his return to hurdling at Kempton last month and is respected here.
12:25 Adaay Forever
Adaay Forever was brought down early on his hurdling debut at Wetherby but showed some aptitude when a close-up third at Bangor last time, for all he might have been expected to show better acceleration given the speed in his pedigree (he’s a half-brother to four winners on the Flat). Adaay Forever is in good hands with Alan King and is entitled to progress with his Bangor experience under his belt, so he gets the vote.
12:55 Moon Rocket
Kim Bailey has had his team in good order this autumn and introduces an interesting sort here in Irish point winner Moon Rocket. Moon Rocket was bought for £92,000 after easily landing an Irish point at the second attempt and he should be fit enough and clued-up enough to do himself justice on his hurdling debut. Point and bumper winner Wicked Thoughts was a beaten odds-on favourite on his hurdling debut last month but is likely to build on that and is a big threat.
13:30 Rock My Way
Rock My Way, a Grade 2 novice hurdle winner during the 2022/23 campaign, showed useful form to finish placed in three starts over fences last season and wasn’t disgraced when third on his return at Newbury a few weeks ago. Rock My Way should prove sharper with that under his belt and looks like a big player with promising conditional Callum Pritchard taking off a handy 7 lb.
14:05 Mole Court
Mole Court progressed well during his first campaign over fences last term, making it five wins for the season when successful at Huntingdon in April. He’s been a bit in-and-out since then but ran well when third at Sandown 19 days ago and is only 2 lb higher than when successful at Huntingdon in the spring so looks on a decent mark. He gets the vote with Callum Pritchard taking over in the saddle and claiming 7 lb.
14:40 Davidoc
Point and hurdles winner Davidoc made an encouraging start over fences when runner-up at Southwell a couple of weeks ago and he is entitled to take a slight step forward with that experience to call on. He looks fairly treated after edging up only 1 lb. Alien Storm, a winner on his chasing debut at Plumpton, ran well when third at Kempton last time and is likely to give a good account of himself.
15:15 Hiero Sport
Hiero Sport improved on his previous efforts over hurdles to get off the mark at Fakenham last month and there could still be a bit more to come after only two starts in handicaps. His sole effort in bumpers, when runner-up at Market Rasen, also offers hope that there could be a bit more to come, and a 6 lb rise in the weights for his Fakenham victory may not be enough to stop him following up.
