12:25 – Impero

IMPERO can continue his really positive start to life with Cian Collins and complete a hat-trick having followed up a first win over hurdles at Downpatrick with victory in a conditional jockeys handicap at Cheltenham last time. Hexham winner Kingston James seemed a little outclassed in a novice at Cheltenham, but could resume his progression back in calmer waters, and is feared most ahead of Bel Amigo who can leave the form of his British debut behind now back over a shorter distance with a hood refitted.

10/11
Impero Win or Each Way

13:00 – Johnny Ringo

Most of these three-year-olds are making their debuts over hurdles. JOHNNY RINGO was the pick of them on the Flat, showing useful form for Lucinda Russell, and was a good second at Newcastle on his latest start. If he’s well-schooled, he can prove the best of these. There’s No Limit has shown modest form in his three runs over hurdles, finishing third at Sedgefield last time, but has experience which his rivals lack, and this easier track should suit.

2/1
Johnny Ringo Win or Each Way

13:35 – Okavango Delta

OKAVANGO DELTA has made a positive start for Paul Robson’s yard and can take advantage of a career-low mark returning to a longer trip having been placed a couple of times last season at over 2m. The Jad Factor went close at Kelso on his final start last term and is unexposed in this sphere, having also joined Sandy Thomson, so is next best ahead of Divas Doyen who was seen to good effect when finally breaking her duck at Carlisle last time.

13/2
Okavango Delta Win or Each Way

14:10 – Heart Above

This is a competitive two-mile handicap hurdle. HEART ABOVE’s form this autumn is solid, winning in novice company at Perth, before finishing second in a race at Kelso that worked out well, and he’s taken to resume winning ways for Dianne Sayer’s team. Ravenscraig Castle was last seen on the Flat, but has been placed in handicaps at Perth on his last couple of runs over hurdles, and is second choice ahead of Restandbethankful and Irish raider She’s On Line.

5/1
Heart Above Win or Each Way

14:45 – High Moon

It could be worth chancing HIGH MOON, who hinted at a revival at Carlisle in October, returning from five months off and is potentially well handicapped now, with Rebecca Menzies’ stable in good form. Brandy McQueen is hard to catch right but he’s another on a good mark. Back to form in second at Kelso two starts ago, he’s feared most back down in class after contesting a better race at Carlisle last time.

13/2
High Moon Win or Each Way

15:20 – Twoplacesatonetime

Rebecca Menzies can end the card with a double as TWOPLACESATONETIME showed good attitude in first-time cheekpieces to prevail in a tight finish at Hexham earlier this month and he’s unexposed as a stayer. He’s preferred to Malangen, who’s usually thereabouts and was second at Ayr last time, and Maillot Blanc, who steps up in trip after finishing third at Kelso on his latest start, both also arrive on the back of solid performances.

5/2
Twoplacesatonetime Win or Each Way
