13:15 Punchestown – Karl Des Tourelles (Racing Post)
Cases can be made for pretty much all of these. Last year’s Kerry National winner, Desertmore House, and this year’s Munster National winner, Real Steel, both have big chances off their hurdles mark, although the former might be more effective left-handed.
A Tipp For Gold and easy Sligo winner Great Universe are appealing, too, among others. It might pay to side with the promising KARL DES TOURELLES, runner-up in a graded novice hurdle in the spring with a run at Listowel behind him.
14:00 Uttoxeter – Icare Allen (Racing Post)
Given his profile, handicap debutant Below The Radar is of obvious interest. However, it could pay to chance two with uninspiring form figures.
Bill Baxter might appreciate this return to hurdling, and ICARE ALLEN will surely come good again sooner or later after his vastly reduced mark.
The selection’s recent run here after a break wasn’t devoid of promise, and it could be that he needs this longer trip nowadays.
14:35 Uttoxeter – Fatique De L’Isle (The Times)
There is still plenty of time for Dan Skelton to find the key to Flash In The Park, while Rajjamataz went down fighting on his latest outing and is also strongly considered.
However, it might be worth chancing FAITQUE DE L’ISLE, who ran well before tiring on heavy ground at Stratford last month.
That stable debut was his first run for nearly a year, and he has slipped to a tempting mark.
15:10 Uttoxeter – Wolfspear (Racing Post)
Yealand makes some appeal for his in-form yard, but WOLFSPEAR has a good record when fresh, and if this comes down to a slog, he may have too much staying power for stablemate Coastal Rock, who nevertheless looks capable of improving with experience.
