The John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase has the potential to be the race of the season after a cracking cast of nine were declared for Sunday’s big one at Punchestown.

Incredibly, eight of the runners already boast Grade 1 honours on their CV and the other one, Journey With Me, isn’t short of class as the handicapper has him on a lofty mark of 162 – the joint-third highest in the line-up.

Fastorslow landed last season’s edition and Martin Brassil’s stable star is bidding to become the first horse since Min to land successive renewals.
