17:00 – Eclairage (NAP)
Danny Murphy’s runners are in good form and he has Eclairage in here. She sets the standard after winning a nursery over course and distance last month. That form has held up too. Declan McDonogh gave her a great ride last time out and he’s back on board. She’s been given a 4lb rise but she should be hard to beat.
17:30 – Cross Border
Jackie Brown has ran to a really good level but I’m with Cross Border for Gavin Cromwell. He won at Dundalk last year and he impressed in his first run for the yard last time out after leaving Dan O’Sullivan. He finished off nicely there when finishing fifth and he should show improvement. The 6f distance should suit him and he’s a strong traveller who’s dropping down in class.
18:00 – Imperial Dream
Pat Flynn is having a great run of things and Imperial Dream is very interesting. The stable form has continued from the turf to the all-weather. He got off the mark when winning over 6f at the Curragh in August and you can upgrade his performance last time out in a much higher graded race. He was fourth that day and the make-up of this race should suit Imperial Dream. Billy Lee has won on him before as well. He’s the value pick.
18:30 – Aeons Aegis
Aeons Aegis will likely be the worthy favourite. Joseph O’Brien’s runner was fourth last time out at Dundalk in October and that form has held up. You have to have maximum respect for him. He’s bred to be better over a mile and he’s got a good draw in stall four. He should be hard to beat.
19:00 – Dancing Teapot
Dancing Teapot made a cracking debut over 7f at Dundalk earlier this month. She finished off strongly from mid division to lose by a head. It was a huge effort to finish second and the form of the race looks good. The one slight concern is the two-week turnaround but the step up to a mile should suit. Nuit will likely be the main danger.
19:30 – Study The Lady
Love Is Blind impressed last time out at Galway but I’m siding with Study The Lady for Ger Lyons. She was heavily backed pre-race at Naas in August and she went off favourite before finishing seventh. The result was disappointing but she shaped better than the result. She was quite green and the form of that race is quite mixed. She’s stepping up in trip after a little layoff and Ger has a really good line up of two year old’s this year. We might see the real deal on Friday night.
20:00 – Pralognan
Pralognan ran really well last time out at Dundalk behind the well-handicapped Slieve Binnian. The drop down in trip to 1m 2f should help, as will the drop in class. The Tony Martin stable form is good too.
20:30 – Nusra
Billy Lee is an interesting jockey booking on Nusra. She’s a course and distance winner. The key for her is she has upside to her mark of 59 and she’s relatively unexposed on the all-weather surface. She has a really good record fresh so I’m going to take a chance on her. The trip should suit too.
