Jakar Du Moulin is respected more for his apparent reputation than on what he achieved in an Irish point, as that form has been badly let down. Menaggio looked good when winning over C&D on his chase debut last month and he isn’t passed over lightly but SEA INVASION progressed well over hurdles last season and might have more scope off this mark having reportedly schooled well over fences for his new stable. Inca De Lafayette is another to consider in a tight contest
14:00 Exeter – Tiny Tetley (Irish Herald)
Kick Up A Storm (second choice) and Kiss My Face have obvious claims and Danzini isn’t without hope, but TINY TETLEY was coming along nicely until a disappointing handicap debut and that isn’t his true form. Callum Pritchard taking off 7lb further heightens interest.
14:40 Leicester – Purple Gown (Spotlight – NAP)
Dual Flat winner PURPLE GOWN (nap) looks to have a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles following her solid run at Newcastle last time. The unexposed Bobbigrey and last week’s Sedgefield winner Suitably Surprised are two others with a chance.
