11:35 Beyond Your Dreams
A few with potential but BEYOND YOUR DREAMS shaped very well when runner-up at Fairyhouse on her recent hurdling bow and looks the way to go here. Both Wendrock and Total Look appeal on paper and are in good hands, while Star Runner and Doctor Confusion also command respect in this intriguing maiden.
12:10 Qualimita
QUALIMITA hasn’t been seen since finishing third in the listed bumper on this card last year but that was a run of significant promise and she’s the one to beat despite her layoff. Henry de Bromhead won this with a point recruit 12 months ago so market confidence behind Magic Day would make her a possible threat. Green Sky looks best of the rest.
12:45 Someone’s Wish
SOMEONE’S WISH has an appreciably lower mark to work from in this sphere and, lining up following some solid efforts over fences, Gordon Elliott’s 4-y-o is fancied to strike. Love Me, Cleopatra’s Needle and Pearl of Grange are others worth considering, along with Rightfolksplease.
13:20 The Yellow Clay
Plenty of potential in the Grade 3 novice, headed by THE YELLOW CLAY, who was the best of these in bumpers and made a facile winning debut in this sphere at Down Royal. Fleur In The Park posted a good timefigure when making all in a novice at Wexford and is next best ahead of the selection’s stablemate Patter Merchant.
13:55 Sundial
SUNDIAL was an eye-catching second after 11 months off at Punchestown 5 weeks ago and looks one to keep on the right side of. Sa Fureur has developed into a smart chaser since his last run over hurdles so is potentially well treated back in this sphere, with the unexposed Newtown Rambler making up the shortlist.
14:30 American Mike
Plenty are in with a shout but Gordon Elliott comes here mob-handed and his handicap debutant AMERICAN MIKE may have got in lightly so is taken to bag another C&D success with Jack Kennedy in the saddle. Recent Cheltenham scorer Lisnamult Lad heads the list of dangers, although Perceval Legallois, The Short Go, Favori de Champdou and Chemical Energy all need factoring in too.
15:05 Slade Steel
Supreme Novices’ winner SLADE STEEL possibly found a big effort then taking the edge off him when only third at Punchestown on his final outing in April. He’s a very exciting chase prospect and is fancied to make a winning return for the Henry de Bromhead yard. Better Days Ahead developed into a smart performer over hurdles himself last term, also winning at the Cheltenham Festival, and looks the danger.
15:40 Cameletta Vega
CAMELETTA VEGA is given another chance to confirm her debut promise. Stablemate Mummy Derry won nicely at Punchestown last month and is feared most unless the betting vibes are notably strong for Gordon Elliott Irish point recruit Swing Davis.
