16:45 – East Hampton

East Hampton has better form than Dark Ace and while Sounds Like A Plan is interesting, I’m sticking with David Marnane’s runner. East Hampton is the fresher horse after winning at the Curragh last month after a fourth month break. He travelled strongly and won well. The surface and racing round a bend will suit too. He’s entitled to come on again but I am slightly afraid of Sounds Like A Plan!

2/1
East Hampton Win or Each Way

17:15 – Mehman

Dream Today will likely get out quickly and ensure there’s some pace in the race. That will suit Mehman, who is a course winner. He won at Naas in May and was fifth at Dundalk in October. He finished off strongly that day and he retains plenty of ability. Nicola Burns takes the ride and claims 10lbs too.

11/2
Mehman Win or Each Way

17:45 – Ja’marr

I’m probably over the cliff with Ja’marr but I’ll stick with him. I loved his first run at the Curragh and he shaped like a future winner. That form held up and he ran a cracker in October after a layoff. He travelled well but got tired inside the final two furlongs. The switch to the all-weather track could be the making of him. A mark of 68 could be easily workable.

4/1
Jamarr Win or Each Way

18:15 – Pompano Beach

Pompano Beach is the one to concentrate on. Joseph O’Brien’s runner was eye-catching on her debut at Naas in May and she’s been given a little break since her run at Sligo in August. Hopefully a mark of 66 could be workable. She could have a little more potential than the rest of these.

14/1
Pompano Beach Win or Each Way

18:45 – Fine Print

Fine Print and Tudor Manor are the two to focus on in the market but I’m siding with the former. Fine Print gets weight (5lbs) from Tudor Manor and he’s making his polytrack debut. He finished third at Thurles last time after being forced wide. He was the best finisher that day and the recent run will benefit him.

11/4
Fine Print Win or Each Way

19:15 – Tribal Star

I’m with Adrian McGuinness’ Tribal Star, who was second on his first two starts last year. He followed that up by finishing third at Kempton in March and after leaving Charlie Appleby for McGuinness, as well as an eight month layoff, he returned at the Curragh earlier this month. He travelled well but got tired inside the final furlong. He’s dropping back in trip to 1m 2f and he should be hard to beat with Adam Caffrey claiming 3lbs.

5/2
Tribal Star Win or Each Way

19:45 – Persian Bliss (NAP)

Persian Bliss should be very hard to beat for Adrian Murray with David Egan on board. He won on over course and distance at the end of October. He’s unexposed and he will only improve after that run. He sets the standard.

11/4
Persian Bliss Win or Each Way

20:15 – Castleheath

I’ve got respect for Koniag but Castleheath is catching by eye after going back up in trip. He finished fifth at Dundalk earlier this month over mile and Friday night’s run is over 1m 2f. He’s got blinkers on and Nicola Burns is taking off 10lbs too.

9/1
Castleheath Win or Each Way
