Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
12:55 Bangor – Casa No Mento (Daily Mail)
An interesting race. CASA NO MENTO has to bounce back from a laboured reappearance but her tall reputation is backed up by quality form over hurdles and, if taking to fences, she could have too much speed for these. Cheltenham Festival heroine You Wear It Well is feared most, as Shecouldbeanything faces no easy task under a penalty and this trip is on the sharp side for West Balboa.
13:37 Lingfield – Local Hero (Racing Post)
Back from a layoff and returned to AW, LOCAL HERO looks particularly interesting. Bobby Bennu, another 3yo who still has low mileage, is second choice ahead of useful Final Voyage who warrants respect at this level.
15:25 Ayr – Shes All Pride (Telegraph)
The filly SHES ALL PRIDE showed ability in an Irish mares’ maiden point in May and it’s possible this race may not take much winning. She is the selection ahead of Jack Dempsey, whose trainer Ian Duncan has enjoyed a productive autumn. Castle Carrock is next on the list for Nicky Richards.
15:50 Lingfield – Lion Ring (Daily Record)
Sassy Redhead got upset at Chelmsford a fortnight ago on her return from a break and her record over C&D entitles her to respect if she’s in a better frame of mind. Walking On Clouds is very well treated now but has always looked happier on Tapeta and LION RING is therefore selected to defy a further 3lb rise and win his fifth consecutive race when on Polytrack. Phoenix Moon is second choice.
