12:10 – Tutti Quanti
David Pipe’s new recruit, Gold In The Rivers, will be hard to beat if he can match the best of his Irish form, but today’s drop in trip raises a query. The preference is for TUTTI QUANTI, who went close on his British debut in January and is open to significant improvement this season.
Stablemates Diamonds For Luck and Imaginarium can also feature.
12:40 – The Kemble Brewery
Dual bumper winner, THE KEMBLE BREWERY, quickened clear of the others with a next-time-out winner over hurdles at Worcester last month and is the one to beat here.
Jackpot D’Ainay can build upon last month’s Uttoxeter third, and interest in him will heighten if the runner-up from that race, Diamonds For Luck, runs well in Division 1 of this contest. Koapey was second in a course bumper last month and is the other key player.
13:15 – Icaque De L’Isle (NAP)
Richard Bandey’s ICAQUE DE L’ISLE (nap) returned to form with a clear second at Worcester last month and is perhaps fortunate to have escaped with just a 1lb nudge for that.
He gets the verdict. Nothing went to plan for Phantom Getaway during his first season over fences, but he had a wind op during his break and resumes on a dangerous mark. Village Master has an impeccable 5-5 strike-rate over fences and is next on the list.
13:50 – Ski Lodge
This race is packed with interest almost all the way down the card. Churchstone Rover and Nels Son have the best hurdles form, thanks to their one start each in Ireland. Farland needs some straightening out but probably can figure prominently for Paul Nicholls.
However, the pick might be SKI LODGE and Rula Bula, who ended their bumper campaigns positively. The market strength behind these and others should help to sort them out further.
14:25 – Fortified Fortune
Plenty have realistic each-way claims but the two most interesting candidates, open to the most improvement, are Broughshane and FORTIFIED FORTUNE. They run over much further today than in their most recent outings.
Broughshane does so, having already delivered the goods this term over an extended 2m3f on his handicap debut, but Fortified Fortune, on his first run since a 2m1f maiden win in May, could have the greater potential. His previous second over 2m3f suggested that this sort of trip was probably the way forward.
15:00 – Doors Breaker
Without anything with a compelling profile, a chance is taken on DOORS BREAKER.
David Pipe’s new recruit was in poor form over hurdles when last seen in the summer of 2023, but his owners’ Chemical Warfare has won five times this season, having made the same stable switch, and there is hope this 7yo can also be revitalised.
Today’s drop back in trip is an interesting move for Heard That, another chasing debutant, and he is feared most. You Say Nothing and As Tears Go By might also feature.
15:35 – Ionity
The betting moves might say something else, or one of those at an early career stage might reveal themselves in a dramatically new light. But at the moment, it looks as if IONITY is easily the most solid candidate.
Drumlee Spud and Villainess have some ability and Top Kap might be the most interesting of the handicap newcomers.
16:10 – Easy Love
Sizing John’s half-sister Visions Of Johana is a very interesting newcomer, but the suggestion is Irish point winner EASY LOVE, who also represents a stable with a very good bumper record.
Newcomers Highland Haven, I Am The Moon, and Ramalamadingdong also appeal, while Mighty Fleur sets a fair standard of rules form and probably won’t be far away.
