14:40 – Get Shirty

Knight Templar has made excellent progress for his new stable since the summer and is still unexposed over 2m. But the class act in this field is the veteran GET SHIRTY, who is not as good as he was but drops in grade after a very respectable fourth over 12.5f here a fortnight ago and will be suited by today’s move back up in trip.

15:15 – What A Question

There’s no question that Vibrato is the solid option, with no well-being issues, but WHAT A QUESTION was last seen in a Listed race, and she can reward the patience of her connections. Only these two will likely count.

15:50 – Ghostman

The market should be helpful about the chances of Keats House, That Lucas Fella, and We’ve Got This on their respective nursery/AW debuts. Any support for them should be noted, but GHOSTMAN looks the one to beat, having gone close over 5f here 18 days ago with two of these behind.

The return to 6f shouldn’t be an issue. Azuinthejungle, fifth in that race, also shaped as though this stiffer test would suit and is another to consider.

16:25 – Flying Fletcher (NAP)

Recent winner Wren Officer should give a good account back here, but Another Investment can be a bigger danger now that he has returned to this track for the first time since his good C&D third 12 months ago.

However, FLYING FLETCHER (nap) looks like a sprinter with potential on this surface, and despite the query about the limited action since he won here in December, he can prove too good for his more exposed rivals.

17:00 – Sir Gabrial

A trappy little event. Alzahir has more on his plate than when he was hosing up in a Leicester seller three weeks ago. Newmarket winner Zouzanna looks to hold better prospects for a stable 4-14 here this year.

But it may be worth taking a chance with C&D winner SIR GABRIAL whose latest effort suggests he will appreciate this return to a stiffer test.

17:30 – Beneficiary

Not many of these are solid. Lord Abama had three of these behind when third over C&D last time and should go well again, while Time Patrol at least comes into this in good form, having finished runner-up in his last two starts.

The choice is dual C&D winner BENEFICIARY, who ran better on his second start back from a break when runner-up at Southwell last time and is now back on his last winning mark.

18:00 – Mr Heinz

Wheres The Crumpet had three of these behind when winning over C&D three weeks ago and should go well again, but she just appeared to get first run on runner-up MR HEINZ, who may be able to reverse the placings if this unfolds more in his favour with a 4lb pull in the weights.

The longstanding maiden Tasever would have a chance if building on his latest effort, while six-time C&D winner Pop Favorite could make his presence felt if getting a solid pace to aim at. Elettaria has possibilities if enjoying a clearer passage than last time.

18:30 – Tickets

It took TICKETS a while to break his duck in handicaps, but now that he has done so over this C&D a fortnight ago he may well be able to follow up off a 3lb higher mark.

The maiden Al Shabab has finished runner-up in both goes on the AW and shouldn’t be far away, while Drakeholes and Marcello Si have the form to make their presence felt.
