BINHAREER duly stepped up on a fairly encouraging debut display, landing a novice event over this course and distance in ready fashion last month and, with the promise of better to come from this Dark Angel colt, he’s taken to follow up under a penalty. Magellan Cloud appears to be going the right way, judged on his fine third in a York maiden, and he is feared most ahead of newcomers Lord Capulet and Noble Force. El Pinto didn’t shape at all badly on debut at Doncaster and he also warrants a mention.

Having stormed home on his nursery debut at Newcastle at the end of last week, SAY WHAT YOU SEE will prove a tough nut to crack if he is able to translate that improvement back to turf (the fact he shaped well in a course and distance novice under similar conditions to those forecast augurs well in that respect). He’s well in under a penalty, but Law Degree looks a big danger on the back of a solid third in a Class 3 nursery at Doncaster, while Aye Up Lass is also likely to make her presence felt.

KING’S SCHOLAR relished the step up to a mile and a half when opening his account under testing conditions at Catterick last week, carrying his head a little awkwardly, but finding plenty in the closing stages. He has the potential for better still now faced with an even stiffer test and will likely take plenty of stopping under a penalty. Red Derek looks solid in the context of this race and he’s second choice ahead of Kitsune Power.
14:00 Have Secret
It could be worth chancing HAVE SECRET, who has spent the majority of the last two seasons contesting strong Class 2 handicaps and has dipped to a potentially handy mark. He is just 2 lb higher in the weights than on his last winning mark, and with conditions no problem for him, he’s entitled to go close in this less-competitive environment. Bust A Move hasn’t had his conditions in the last two, but there will be no excuses in that regard here, and he is feared most ahead of the in-form Liberty Coach.

If the Kevin Ryan-trained BELSITO is in the same form as when runner-up over this course and distance last Monday he may be able to go one better from the same mark. He gave way only to one, who has suddenly returned to form and, given he’s on his last winning mark, and the third has won since, he has compelling form claims. Tim Easterby pair Glendown and Canaria Queen may give him most to think about.
15:09 Temper Trap
TEMPER TRAP is ending the season in fine form and might be able to land a second course and distance success of the autumn. He quickly bounced back from a below-par effort at Nottingham last time in a stronger race than this and remains fairly treated from the same mark. Ey Up Its Jazz and Pals Battalion are obvious dangers, while Cavallo Pazzo needs monitoring in the betting, with a tongue strap back on for the first time since joining Daragh Bourke.

GLASTONBURY has been brought along gradually and showed much improved form to open his account on a turf debut at Yarmouth three weeks ago. That was on soft ground, and he appeared to relish the step up to a mile, while he also responding to first-time cheekpieces. There should be even more to come from him now he’s up and running and he’s strongly fancied to follow up from just a 3 lb higher mark. Last week’s Catterick scorer Rwenearlytheredad can give him most to do ahead of in-form veteran Anif.
