12:30 Fairyhouse – Ballagh Star (The Irish Sun)

BALLAGH STAR stayed well when landing a 3m2f Sligo handicap last time. Has gone up 6lb but is a young horse who can remain competitive and is potentially more progressive than most of these rivals.

12:50 Redcar – Law Degree (sportinglife.com)

Both of LAW DEGREE’s wins have been on right-handed tracks and soft ground. 3lb higher than the latter, which came at Ripon in September. Below par at Nottingham (8.5f, heavy) next time but put up a career best when 2l second at Doncaster (7f, soft) latest.

15:44 Redcar – Glastonbury (Jason Heavey)

GLASTONBURY safely held on last month’s handicap debut (7f, AW) but came from off the pace to score in first-time cheekpieces on turf debut at Yarmouth (1m, soft) three weeks ago. Only 3lb higher here and could easily have more to offer.

16:00 Fairyhouse – Cruisin Susan (Brian Flanagan)

CRUISIN SUSAN won back to back races in August at Wexford (3m, good) and Tramore (20.5f, good to yielding). Up a total of 13lb for those two wins and it looks like the handicapper may be in charge for now on the evidence of her last four runs. Others may be better treated.
