13:55 Curragh – Two Stars (The Irish Sun)
Fourth in this race last season, TWO STARS may exploit this late opportunity to build on two early-season seconds. Last year’s winner Mickey The Steel got the run of the race when scoring at Navan 11 days ago, unlike Rathbranchurch who may turn the tables now. Laugh A Minute, third in the same race at Navan, is worth considering too.
14:53 Carlisle – El Elefante (Daily Express)
The enigma is Galia Des Liteaux (second choice) who would be conceding far more weight all round in a handicap but has to deal with a trip way short of her best. That offers hope to all her rivals and EL ELEFANTE not only looks very at home over this distance but was impressive on her chase debut. Terresita and Smiling Getaway can get involved.
15:08 Huntingdon – No Risk with Lou (The Times)
Getaway Drumlee (second choice) and Roaring Legend both look interesting on their chasing debuts, while Jet Of Dreams has already won twice over fences this season and might still be improving. However, NO RISK WITH LOU dominated from the front over C&D last autumn, after a break, and is selected to do the same today.
15:15 Cork – Outside The Door (Spotlight)
He stays well and will have the good ground that he likes so OUTSIDE THE DOOR, who has won his last two starts, is the selection. Jumping Jet should have come on from last Sunday’s return at Galway and looks the best of Gordon Elliott’s, while Sphagnum and Sainte Dona are others that make some appeal. Last year’s winner, Sir Bob, lacks a prep this time around, and the consistent Positive Thinker would prefer it wetter.
