12:35 – White Crown Star

White Crown Star, a 200,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, looked in need of the experience on his debut at Newmarket for Sir Michael Stoute in July and duly proved sharper with that outing under his belt, proving more competitive when third at Yarmouth in September. White Crown Star should carry on improving and can put his experience to good use on his first start for Andrew Balding. There are some interesting newcomers here, including Charming Life, a €400,000 son of Dubawi who represents Godolphin and Charlie Appleby.

13:08 – Thunder Star

Thunder Star progressed well and enjoyed a productive campaign last season, winning on three occasions. She’s still searching for a first win of 2024 and hasn’t been at her best in two starts since returning from a mid-season break, but she’s been given a chance by the handicapper and is now 3 lb below her last winning mark. She could be worth chancing from this lenient mark.

13:43 – Kodilicious

Kodilicious beat only one home on her debut at Navan but she clearly benefited from that experience as she took a big step forward to get off the mark at Sligo on her second start. That form worked out well with the second, third and fourth all winning next time, and Kodilicious also showed improved form when runner-up in a Cork nursery on her next start. She gave another good account of herself when fifth in a more competitive nursery at Naas last time and the form of her last two efforts is up there with the best on offer here.

Kodilicious Win or Each Way

14:17 – Montezuma

Montezuma shaped better than the bare result would suggest when fifth in a seven-furlong novice on debut at Kempton a couple of weeks ago, showing speed before tiring late on having been trapped wide throughout from his double-figure draw. Dropping back to six furlongs shouldn’t be a problem for this son of Blue Point given the speed he showed on debut and he is entitled to be sharper with a run under his belt. Sixtygeesbaby showed plenty to work on when fourth at Windsor on debut and he strikes as a potential improver having been gelded since that introduction.

6/4
Montezuma Win or Each Way

14:52 – Claxton Bay

Claxton Bay has been in good order since joining David Evans, finishing placed in a couple of Salisbury handicaps before winning at Beverley in September. Claxton Bay always looked to be holding on at Beverley after impressing with how smoothly he travelled and a 3 lb rise in the weights should not prevent another bold bid.

7/2
Claxton Bay Win or Each Way

15:27 – Chourmo

Chourmo registered his third win of the year when successful at Brighton in August and he ran up to his best when runner-up at the same venue a couple of weeks ago. He was beaten only a short-head by a horse who has won well twice since and he was five and a half lengths clear of the third, so he looks fairly treated after edging up only 2 lb.

9/1
Chourmo Win or Each Way

16:02 – Loving Look

Loving Look gamely got off the mark in a Kempton novice in August and she has run well to finish placed in handicaps on both starts since. She produced her best effort yet when beaten only half a length and a short-head last time, finishing just behind a subsequent winner, so she should give another good account off the same mark.

13/8
Loving Look Win or Each Way
