15:15 Newcastle – Cawthorne Cracker (Daily Mail)
It could be worth siding with CAWTHORNE CRACKER who has improved for wind surgery and would have made it two out of two since that operation but for falling when clear at the final flight last time in the race won by Balranald. He is 9lb higher here but is progressive and is preferred to the in-form Grifter and the veteran Getaway Jewel.
15:35 Stratford – Macfin (Racing Post)
Harrys Hope and Smurfette have to be of interest with recent wins to their names and Move With The Beat (second choice) is easily given another chance as he was a strong favourite last week at Exeter only to make a race-ending blunder. MACFIN could be interesting, with competitive form off higher marks before doing well in points, and his new yard can ready one after an absence.
16:05 Stratford – Crystabel (Telegraph)
Girl Of Gold, Queen’s Theatre and Ride Like A Girl appeal most of the newcomers but CRYSTABEL has the benefit of a run under her belt and it was a good one at Huntingdon. If again electing to front-run, this track will suit.
18:15 Southwell – Noodle Mission (The Sun)
A warm race in which the unexposed 3yos Harvard Sound and Lattaash are sure to be popular. Hat-trick-seekers How Impressive and It Just Takes Time also come right into the reckoning, but NOODLE MISSION has been a revelation for his new yard this season and he still looks well treated on the form of his C&D win in August. His latest defeat came on unsuitably slow ground and he can resume his progress back on Tapeta with a top apprentice taking off a useful 3lb. Silver Samurai is fully exposed but he’s talented and may prove next best.
