The Crisford pair, Cy Twombly and War Hawk, both shaped nicely on debut after showing signs of inexperience and are entitled to improve.
Similar comments apply to Spectacular View, who’s been gelded since comfortably held behind some decent rivals in the summer, but FIFTH COLUMN, whose first two defeats at short prices look better now than at the time, sets the standard on his latest Kempton second.

An open contest, but EPIC EXPRESS appeared very much to have benefited from wind surgery when scoring last time, and, on that evidence, he remains well-treated and is taken to back it up with another win.
The unexposed Miss Sunset Strip could be a big player if back on track after a break, while Airshow, Whenthedealinsdone and Nammos are all respected.
17:30 One For Harvey
The standard set by those who have run is not high. ONE FOR HARVEY, Fiorella Princess and Baylando head that group but the last of those have not run since May and June respectively, whereas the selection produced her best effort three weeks ago and over C&D. Syzygy is a newcomer to note.
18:00 Little She
Oasis Sunrise (also declared at Bath) and LITTLE SHE have fair form, and the rest have shown comparatively little. Little She belied her purchase price and starting price when running on into a fourth of ten at Kempton (6f, Polytrack), and she also traveled well through that race. Any improvement should take care of her form rival.
18:30 Secret Mission
Prada On Parole seems to present easily the most solid case, as she’s finished on the heels of the winner in nurseries on two of her last three starts. However, she is also an eight-race maiden, whereas seven of today’s rivals are nursery newcomers after just three starts, and surely at least one of them can now be seen in a much more favourable light.
Ballarat Bertie attracted stacks of attention without actually running when he was due to make his handicap debut last month, so perhaps he’s the one. However, tentative preference is for the substantially downgraded pair SECRET MISSION and Limegreentangerine.
19:00 Sassy Redhead
Gultari arrives in good form from both turf and AW and should again be a player, while it would be a surprise if the admirable Sir Rodneyredblood were not involved. However, both might have to give best to SASSY REDHEAD, who was a shade unlucky last time and may be able to get her nose in front again now back over this C&D.
19:30 Suanni
Although he has won on Polytrack, the in-form Street Life is better on Tapeta, and he underlined that with another recent success. He is respected but could be vulnerable to C&D winner SUANNI, who does have to shrug off a couple of lesser efforts but is on the sort of mark from which he can strike again. War Zone and last-time winner Battle Point are others who can get involved.
20:00 Lokana
A weak fillies’ handicap in which all roads lead to LOKANA, who’s related to AW winners and has found her level on turf lately. The unexposed Arabian Rose, who returns from wind surgery, is surely capable of better though.
20:30 Imitate (NAP)
No Surrender did well to finish as close as he did at Newcastle last time in a race not run to suit those held up (Knockbrex not far behind in sixth) and is respected off the same mark, but this can go to the well-related IMITATE (NAP), who took a forward step on her recent AW debut and promises to be suited by tonight’s longer trip.
