Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
14:12 Catterick – Home Stokes (Telegraph)
This looks a tight handicap, with HOMER STOKES tipped to complete a C&D hat-trick at the main expense of Sir Garfield, who gained just reward for a series of good runs when winning at Ayr. Rwenearlytheredad looks dangerously handicapped and should also not be far away, while the veteran Desert Dream shouldn’t be overlooked.
14:57 Bangor-on-Dee – Im Ravenous (West Country)
A few of these appeal as likely improvers now sent chasing and recent maiden hurdle winner IM RAVENOUS falls into that category. Having a run under his belt has to be a plus. Icare Grandchamp has the benefit of experience over fences and should build on his Newton Abbot win. Not many in here can be discounted, however.
15:10 Chepstow – Can You Call (The Guardian)
Several of these warrant consideration in this competitive handicap, but top of this list is CAN YOU CALL, who ran a big race in defeat in this contest on last season’s reappearance outing and is now back on the same mark. Chasing debutant, Theformismighty is feared most, but Range and Classic King could also have significant potential over fences.
16:00 Newcastle – Prince Achille (Daily Mail)
Although up 4lb for his Musselburgh success, Ayr Poet remains favourably treated on previous form so could go well, while C&D winner Urban Road is respected on his return from 199 days off having run well fresh in the past. The vote, however, goes to PRINCE ACHILLE who is 3-6 over C&D and is 2lb lower than when third in a better race here in May.
