13:47 Ayr – Not In Kansas (Daily Record)
Dan Skelton’s mare What A Flirth didn’t really have the race run to suit her patient tactics at Southwell this month, but could be dangerous, if things pan out more favourably for her here. NOT IN KANSAS displayed considerable improvement, winning twice over 2m 4f in the spring, and might kick on again on this first attempt at 3m. Recent Hexham winner Magical Arthur is next on the list.
14:05 Leicester – Zadkiel (The Star)
Stepping up to 7f looks sure to suit the well-bred ZADKIEL (nap) who ran his best race yet on heavy ground here last time out. Laurens Dream was unlucky not to finish closer at Yarmouth and can reserve those placings with Unex Friendly.
14:20 Ayr – Caldwell (Racing Post)
Rickety Gate (second choice) went well to win over hurdles three weeks ago and remains on a workable mark. Adveram and Lewa House are two others worth considering but CALDWELL (nap) makes appeal having been a ready winner on soft ground on his recent chase debut.
15:50 Leicester – Turn Up The Heat (Daily Telegraph)
It might pay to take a chance on TURN UP THE HEAT, whose best effort to date came on heavy ground, and on the back of a similar absence. Equion looks a good bet to give his running one more chance and is feared most ahead of Marsh Benham and Run For The Sun.
