13:10 Cheltenham – Guard Your Dreams
Guard Your Dreams for Nigel and Sam Twiston-Davies will have improved after winning at Warwick last time out. He was just able to hold on and a mark of 136 is more than fair. Weveallbeencaught could be worth keeping an eye on but he could want further. He might be worth backing at a later date.
13:30 Doncaster – Fast Track Harry (each-way)
Bounty was impressive when winning last week at Naas and Diego Ventura has decent form but I was really taken by Fast Track Harry on his debut on soft ground at Newbury in September. He’s worth taking a chance on as an each-way shout.
13:45 Cheltenham – Millforce
I struggled to pick a winner but I’ll side with Millforce. His form is decent enough after winning at Bellewstown in August before following up with a second behind Luckinthecity at Cork earlier this month. I’ll chance Gavin Cromwell’s runner.
14:20 Cheltenham – Broadway Boy
Broadway Boy was asked some fair questions last year and he was second behind Flooring Porter last year. He landed a big handicap in December and he answered most of the questions. He’s quite short in the market but he can show improvement after an impressive season last term. Senior Chief could follow him home.
14:40 Doncaster – Wimbledon Hawkeye
Wimbledon Hawkeye came on my radar at York when he was second behind The Lion In Winter. He followed that up with a win at Newmarket ahead of Royal Playwright in the Royal Lodge Stakes and I can’t desert him!
14:55 Cheltenham – Idem
I’m with Lucinda Russell’s Idem at a decent price. He ran at Perth in September when finishing second. He looked like he got tired and made a mistake at the last. He could be ahead of the handicapper off a mark of 127 and the fact he’s had a run already this season is a bonus.
15:10 Newbury – Yaroogh
Yaroogh has shown that he handles soft ground and he’s a better horse on it! He’s struggled on good to firm ground and he won at Chantilly last time out on heavy ground. Bob Mali also handles the ground and could be worth keeping an eye on.
15:30 Cheltenham – Bottler’secret (NAP)
I was really impressed with Bottler’secret when he made a winning debut at Naas before following that up at Fairyhouse. His run when second behind Kargese at Punchestown was solid enough and there were some good horses behind him.
15:45 Newbury – Danielle
I have to side with Danielle on heavy ground. She’s been well beaten on good ground and with the three-year-old allowance she isn’t too far away from Al Aasy. She is a completely different horse on really soft ground and we know she’ll get that on Saturday.
