13:10 Cheltenham – Weveallbeencaught (Each-Way)

ITV Racing Saturday comes from Doncaster, Newbury and Cheltenham starting over jumps at the latter track with a Novices’ limited handicap chase over 2m 4f. This is wide open. WEVEALLBEENCAUGHT is interesting here on his second start for Christian Williams. There is a chance this trip is too short, but if they go a good clip, he might stay on from off the pace and a mark of 128 is fair. My selection has been as high as 139, and was once seventh in the Albert Bartlett, behind Stay Away Fay. He was a fine sixth in the Ultima to Chianti Classico and that’s fine handicap chase form. I’ll have a few quid on eachway.

8/1
Weveallbeencaught Win or Each Way

13:30 Doncaster – Arctic Voyage (Each-Way)

Flat racing at Doncaster starts with this Listed Prospect Stakes for juveniles over 6f. Ralph Beckett has had a tremendous season and ARCTIC VOYAGE should have an eachway chance here under Eddie Greatrex. The Kingman offspring appears to love juice in the ground, and has run twice on heavy over 7f, first time at Newbury when third behind Make You Smile and then when landing a Nottingham novice over this distance. Looks promising and will keep on galloping.

7/2
Arctic Voyage Win or Each Way

13:45 Cheltenham – Millforce

Now a Novices’ hurdle over 3m. A few of these are unproven at the trip. MILLFORCE probably has a few pounds to find on what he has achieved so far, but he should stay well, as he did in point-to-points and he might well go from the front and be hard to peg back for Keith Donoghue and Gavin Cromwell.

7/4
Millforce Win or Each Way

14:05 Doncaster – Aberama Gold (Each-Way)

Here’s a handicap over 5f. A tricky race to sort out. ABERAMA GOLD once landed the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood in heavy and that was off a mark of 95. He’s been up to 101. Here he can run off 85, having gone up 1lb for a fourth at Catterick, in the last seen. That seems a bit harsh, but he might just been running into form. Hollie Doyle is on an eachway selection for David O’Meara.

11/2
Aberama Gold Win or Each Way

14:20 Cheltenham – Kinondo Kwetu (Each-Way)

Here’s a handicap chase over 3m 1f. Ifs and buts about many of these and Le Milos certainly interested me but I wonder if he’s getting ready for Newbury. The one who will love the conditions is KINONDO KWETU, who has been in action recently, finishing second at Perth just a few weeks ago. He’s up another 2lb for that defeat, so this won’t be easy, and added to that he was pulled up when he last came to Cheltenham, but that was on good to soft ground and he likes it as fast as possible. He stays, and on his Aintree win in May of 2023, he’d has an eachway chance here.

14/1
Kinondo Kwetu Win or Each Way

14:40 Doncaster – Royal Playwright (Each-Way)

The big race of the day in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy for youngsters over 1m. ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT will probably be the outsider of the field, but I’ll be stunned if he finishes last, for Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy. The Solario third went on to chase likely favourite Wimbledon Hawkeye at Newmarket last time and I was of the opinion the son of Lope de Vega didn’t enjoy the track that much. He kept on really well in second and these conditions are ideal. I have to have a few quid on eachway for the team that won this with Kameko, although that was when the race was run at Newcastle.

11/1
Royal Playwright Win or Each Way

14:55 Cheltenham – Botox Has (Each-Way)

A handicap hurdle over 3m. Another wide open event. It’s clear there might be better handicapped horses here than BOTOX HAS, but I’ll risk him eachway, for Gary & Josh Moore and Caoilin Quinn who takes off a useful 3lb. A mark of 152 is not impossible for this tough type, who when he’s on song can look very good, as when scoring at Haydock last season and Wetherby in 2023. He goes on any ground and might do a little better than his odds suggest.

12/1
Botox Has Win or Each Way

15:10 Newbury – Star Anthem (Each-Way)

ITV go to Newbury for two races which include this Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes for juvenile colts and geldings over 7f. I’m going chance STAR ANTHEM eachway here for Richard Kingscote and Clive Cox. The Coventry 8th kept on well in fourth last time, behind Powerful Glory in the Mill Reef, and both his last two efforts suggest he’s been crying out for 7f. This is his chance to show that is true!

8/1
Star Anthem Win or Each Way

15:30 Cheltenham – Bottler’secret

A conditions hurdle over an extended 2m. BOTTLER’SECRET is surely the one to beat here for Sean Flanagan and Gavin Cromwell. The Grade 2 winner at Fairyhouse went on to chase home the very decent Kargese in a Grade 1 at Punchestown, and he battled well that day, to go down by less than two lengths. That’s the best form on offer, and while he has to give 4lb and more away, he should be hard to stop.

4/5
Bottlersecret Win or Each Way

15:45 Newbury – Al Aasy

Here’s the Group 3 St Simon Stakes over 1m 4f. Just the six runners and if he’s in the right mood AL AASY should win. The William Haggas runner was in a crazy mood at Ascot last time, and was given far too much to do in the race, and was never placed to challenge. He loves juice in the ground and this track and he looked good when beating Al Qareem in the Geoffrey Freer. Jim Crowley is back in the saddle and he knows him very well.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?

4/5
Al Aasy Win or Each Way
