A tricky puzzle to solve, and the tentative suggestion is HARBOUR VISION, who has a handy draw for his style of racing and showed last week that another course success may not be long in coming.
Billy McGarry is preferred of Michael Herrington’s pair and could get involved, while Cerulean Summer should again be thereabouts under her penalty. Mykonos St John and Cobh Harbour hold each-way interest.
17:10 My Genghis
Tony Carroll saddles two here, and his MY GENGHIS is very much the in-form runner in the field. He is taken to maintain that run and complete a hat-trick under his penalty. His chief threat to pulling off that feat looks likely to be Suanni, for whom a return to this track looks beneficial. Colors Of Freedom can also get involved.
17:45 Prevail
Most of these have shown ability, but a few also have something to prove. The longer trip and switch to the AW may suit Morrophore, while Nowhere again holds each-way claims if transferring her Polytrack form to Tapeta.
Magic Dream would be a major player if recapturing the promise of her Newbury debut, but it may be worth taking a chance with PREVAIL. The form of her latest Kempton fifth is working out well and the way she performed there suggested this longer trip could help her.
18:15 Muscika
Aces Wild is best known for his exploits over 5f especially around here, but he won over 6f in Ireland as a 4yo and could be interesting back up in trip. Newyorkstateofmind and Phoenix Beach are respected despite their high draws, but the vote goes to the veteran MUSCIKA who rarely runs a bad race around here and who has dropped to a tempting mark.
18:45 Diamond Ranger
This looks competitive. C&D winner Gifted Angel is much respected in his bid for a hat-trick while there is likely more to come from handicap newcomer Lartigue. Speriamo and Crown Of India also hold claims, but the choice is DIAMOND RANGER who does have winning form here and is due to be 3lb higher in future following his fine third of 14 at Kempton eight days ago.
19:15 Lia Rose (NAP)
The consistent Idyllic should again make her presence felt while Red Treasure and three-time course winner Kaaress also hold claims, but this may be between old rivals Renesmee and LIA ROSE (NAP). The former gained the verdict by half a length when the pair met over C&D 19 days ago, but the latter is taken to reverse the placings given that she was making her AW debut that day and she hit the line with some purpose.
19:45 Snooze Lane
Lady Wingalong and Dumfries both make the shortlist, while Book Of Life is worth a market check for the stable that struck gold here last Saturday evening. However, the vote goes to SNOOZE LANE whose four course wins have come over further, but this trip didn’t look an issue when a close second of 11 here ten days ago. He races off the same mark (1lb well in).
20:15 Kings Crown
Dual C&D winner Global Warning comes into this off the back of a Lingfield success and shouldn’t be far away, while the return here should suit Jazzy Angel whose record on Tapeta reads 1212. However, despite a moderate strike-rate (1-26) the choice is KINGS CROWN who has only raced once on the AW, and that was when just beaten at Newcastle last month.
